1.1 Teaching methods of the teacher that I have observed

The first day I went to school, my buddy introduced me to the teacher who would mentor me. After understanding her schedule and teaching timetable, I observed a few of her lessons to get a better understanding of her teaching style and familiarize myself with the class. I’ve observed Ms. Evermi’s class and I have taken note of some of the teaching methods that she used. Primarily, she used discussion as a warm-up strategy so that the students will be able to absorb the lessons. After the discussion, she assigned me a lesson to teach the next day. She guided me on how to structure the lesson so that students could easily grasp it. She suggested that I include a few small games to make the lesson more engaging and enjoyable for the students. She used PowerPoint along with writing on the whiteboard during the lesson, which saved time and was more convenient.

1.2 Learning materials and innovation

The school uses books, workbooks, powerpoint presentations, and desktop computers that are provided in the library. In addition to reference books, the library also has school newspapers and magazines. Moreover, they display students' artwork, such as painting on rocks, drawings, and clay products, among others.

1.3 Sources of learning and technology used by teachers

Teachers utilize a variety of learning sources and technologies to enhance the educational experience for their students. These include traditional textbooks, online resources, and interactive multimedia tools, which provide diverse perspectives and formats for learning. Additionally, teachers often integrate educational apps and software that promote interactive learning. By combining these resources and technologies, educators can create dynamic, engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles and prepare students for a technology-driven world.

1.4 Authentic assessment used by the teachers

Authentic assessment refers to evaluation methods that allow teachers to measure students' understanding and skills in real-world contexts. These assessments encourage students to apply their knowledge creatively and critically, fostering deeper learning. By using authentic assessment, teachers can provide meaningful feedback, promote student engagement, and better prepare students for practical applications of their skills in everyday life.
