4. Teaching Practice

 1.1 Procedures of your teaching

In my teaching approach, I begin with thorough planning and preparation, developing a suitable curriculum and detailed lesson plans that outline learning objectives, activities, and required resources. Effective classroom management is crucial, so I establish clear rules and foster positive relationships with students to create an engaging learning environment. During instruction, I employ diverse teaching methods, including group discussions and interactive activities, to keep students interested, while also differentiating my approach to meet the varying needs of all learners. I regularly assess student understanding and provide constructive feedback to support their growth. After each lesson, I reflect on my teaching effectiveness, seeking feedback from students and colleagues to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Committing to continuous professional development is essential for me to stay updated on best practices in education, ultimately ensuring a supportive and productive learning atmosphere for my students.

To review the old lesson, I organized a small game to choose students to answer the questions.

After mentioning the old lesson, I lead to the new lesson.

After learning the new lesson, I solve some examples for the students and give them exercises to apply. I divide the class into 2 groups to solve the exercises to find the keywords to find the required word. The group that finishes first and correctly will be rewarded, the group that loses will also be rewarded but with a smaller reward. This helps the students have the motivation to solve the exercises.

1.2 Time management and organizing activities

The time allotted for each period is 55 minutes and each subject is good for 1 periods. The time is very sufficient and I’m able to finish the lesson and all of the activities that I give to the students. I can conduct quizzes after every discussion and the students can ask for further questions regarding our topic.

 1.3 Problem-solving

Sometimes students do not understand what I mean, so I repeat more slowly to ensure they grasp what I am saying. The teachers also gave me text books that I can use for my lessons. Fortunately, I have a very enthusiastic teacher and supporter who helps me a lot to successfully complete my lessons.

During the lesson, if the student does not understand, I can help the student.

1.4 Classroom management

Students in school have their own designated classrooms so whenever I enter the room, they are already in their seats. They have their seating arrangement so it’s easy to remember them. Each class has a class diagram so it's easy for me to remember the students' names. Building strong relationships with students is also crucial; by showing empathy and respect, teachers can foster a sense of community and encourage open communication. Additionally, utilizing engaging instructional strategies, such as interactive activities and group work, keeps students focused and involved. Overall, a well-managed classroom allows for more effective teaching and enhances student learning.
